Random Picture Challenge

Time for another Random Picture Challenge from 4 little men & girly twins. This week it is 27th folder, 27th picture.

I LOVE this picture of my two favorite men. I can't believe how big my little baby has gotten! And of course I love the overalls!

Firsts

This week there have been a lot of firsts for our little family. Dean and I had our first trip to Ikea, and his first trip to Starbucks. He was a big fan of the green straw!
Since it is getting to be spring it was time for my first set of snow tires (thanks Mom & Dad) to come off the car, so I got my first new set of wheels. And it was Dean's first trip to the tire store. That may not sound like a big deal, but if you knew the hubs.... So I feel a little silly, but my car looks great!

Then we had a nice lunch at Red Robin and D had his first avacado, he wasn't quite sure what to think but ate a couple bites. Then he had his first french fry. We're not sure if he liked the taste or the squishy-ness more. The remnants were a little gross, but he enjoyed it!

Overall, I'd say that this was quite a good Saturday!

Teeth

My little man has another tooth! (This brings the total to 3 if you are keeping track) He started with the 2 middle bottom teeth, and so I was expecting one of the middle top ones. No, no. The new one is off to the side of where those would be. So, when it grows a little more he'll have one goofy looking grin!

Home with my (little) man

Don't get me wrong, I really love my job, but having time off makes me very jealous of people I know who get to stay home with their little ones! We have had such a fun time so far this week! Saturday & Sunday Grammy & Grampy came to visit and we spent lots of time shopping. I can't believe how good a shopper the little guy is. He gets mad if he is facing forward, but as long as he can look at me he is happy. He also loves to drink out of my water bottle (which then becomes his water bottle) so that kept him entertained!
Monday we went to Ikea. I freaking LOVE that place! I'd move there if I could I think. I went a little nutty in the kids area, and am tempted to stop on my way up north this weekend. And I finally got some curtains for the living room, it's only been 3 years.
Monday was also a historic day for D. He went to Starbucks for the first time, no coffee hating like his Dad!
I guess it is good I'm only home once in a while, I'm thinking it might be expensive!

Spring Break!

I'm So excited! Today begins the first day of my Spring Break! 9 whole days (well 8, I have to work at least 1 day) of staying home, or going out, with my favorite little man! We are planning a very exciting trip to Ikea, I hope to finally get my hair cut and maybe do some shopping. Overall I'm just thrilled to have a chunk of time I can spend with him now that he is so much fun!

I often blow raspberries on his tummy or his cheek to make him laugh and when we got home from school today after I fed him he started blowing them on my tummy and then he was cracking up, so I was laughing and that just made him laugh more. We're quite the pair!

Random Picture Challenge

Thanks to a mommy friend of mine, I came across this blog. 4 little men and girly twins is a really neat blog with tons of amazing (and random) photos. MrsBritney, totally thought of you! It definitely makes me wish I was more creative and "artsy". Sadly I am nerdy and "sciencey" instead. But my camera lets me pretend a little! The challenge was Feb 2009, no kids :(
So here is a pic I took of my kitty, Leo, watching the fish in the tank.

Poor Boy

My little man had a rough day today! He's all stuffy and congested (again), though when we went to the Dr. his ear infections were all gone, but he has a horrible cough. Then he was sitting next to me on the floor playing while I was eating dinner and he fell backward and bonked his head. Luckily I had my water bottle close by, so a little "big boy" cup with water saved the day. Then when I was feeding him dinner, green beans and apples & cherry, he started falling asleep in his high chair. I felt so bad, I just hate it when he is teething and feeling yucky! I'm so excited for the weekend, and then only one more week of work until we can play for a whole week!

7 months!

I can't believe my baby boy is already 7 months old! It seems like just yesterday I was waiting and waiting (2 weeks!) for him to be born! He has grown and changed so much since then. He is already towards the end of his 6-12 months clothes. He was accidentally wearing some 12-18 month jeans the other day and they were just a tiny bit (1 inch) long.
He is starting to really scooch around (mostly backwards), though he really rolls a lot when he wants to get somewhere (or get something). He likes to play "Where's the Baby" basically peek a boo, but instead I look for the baby. He thinks it is Hilarious!!
He is still not such a good sleeper, last night he woke up about 10 minutes after I put him to bed and I had to go sit next to him to calm him down. I gave him his binky and he promply took it out and started chewing on it. It was so funny to watch him bite it, turn it around and bite it, and then for about 10 minutes he flicked the handle back and forth (in between biting of course!)

Maybe the best part of him getting older and bigger is the look that I get when I go to pick him up from daycare after work. Arms up and a big smile on his face, gotta love being a Mommy!
