31 weeks

Yesterday was the start of my every 2 week doctors appointments. It's kind of a pain to drive to the clinic so often, but it is great fun to listen to baby brother's heartbeat. Of course, just like big brother, baby brother is really uncooperative with the doppler. He rolled around for about 5 minutes yesterday before the nurse could hear his heartbeat for any length of time. Once he held still for a bit his heart beat was a strong 148 bpm. Sometimes I think that Kung Fu Panda is in my belly :)
We also talked about possible dates for him to be born this summer. It is crazy to think that in as little as 8 weeks or so baby brother will be here! Now if only the munchkin had a name...

Cute & 30 Weeks!

10 weeks to go!!! (or 12 if baby brother is as stubborn as big brother) It seems like just yesterday we were finding out he was a boy. It would be great if he had a name already, or if anything was ready for him, but I guess we still have time :)

Every night when I put Dean to bed I sing "Fly Me to the Moon" and "Somewhere Beyond the Sea". Yesterday when we got home from Easter dinner he was supposed to be napping, and I was getting ready to nap. I hear some little feet walking into my room and of course it is Dean escaping from his big boy bed. I told him that he needed to go have some nap & Mama was going to have a nap too. He told me "Night-night" and then asked "You want sing?", so I said ok. And Dean sang me "Fly Me to the Moon" so I could have a nap. SO CUTE! Love that little man.

Snow!

It finally snowed here last week, and D and I had lots of fun walking around and around our block. I'm very glad we don't live in Minnesota or somewhere, but snow more than once every two years doesn't seem like too much to ask, right?

It's A....

We had our big Ultrasound yesterday. When I asked Dean on Sunday whether he wanted a baby brother or sister he said "Sister, no brother", so of course....It's a boy! And there was definitely no disputing that fact. At the beginning of the U/S it didn't look like he was going to cooperate at all! He was sitting with his torso all rolled into a ball, and his legs stuck straight out together. But he's a squirmy one, so he moved around enough for the tech to tell. Now we just have to get the final results of the scan & I will feel much better!
Before we even knew Dean was a boy we had his name picked out, so it's hard now trying to come up with a name for this baby boy! I guess we have a few months though!

16 weeks!

Today I am 16 weeks pregnant!! I'm still a little in shock about the whole thing, but am super excited to take Dean to the Dr. appt on Monday!

On Saturday D and I took a trip to Ikea to replace his "Dean table" that had been coated with crayon, applesauce and other icky stuff. The restaurant was PACKED, so instead we went and got some noodles. If you look closely you can see he needed 2 forks :) Chocolate from the bank :)
